A group of seven people fishing with children
Three women are seated on baskets; two other women are standing, one on the left with a basket over the back of her head. They are accompanied by two men and several children, including a baby. The unsigned drawing’s stylistic resemblance to drawings of similar subjects from the Milford Collection, now at the NMM, suggest a tentative attribution to Willem van de Velde, the Elder, and a date of about 1655.
