Crewmen running new wires into a reel winch on board the suction hopper dredger Geopotes X (1969) at sea. The photographer is standing in front of the superstructure, looking aft and to starboard. One crewman is standing on the reel winch and feeding the wire through. Five crewman are standing next to the winch assisting with running the wire through. This is Slide 26 of a lecture titled "World Wide Ship Delivery" given by Captain Henry P. Bird detailing his service as Chief Officer for the suction hopper dredger Geopotes X (1969), owned by Volker Dredging Co Ltd, from 24 June 1980 to 14 July 1980. The lecture also details his service with the same ship as Second Officer, chartered by Dome Petroleum Company, Canada, from 4 August 1980 to 11 September 1980. The lecture consists of 56 slides.
