The port of registry "Gorinchem" is written on the stern of the tug. The oil tanker Texaco New York (1953) is currently in the West Chamber of the Lower Gatun Lock.

Bird detailing his service as Chief Officer for the suction hopper dredger Geopotes X (1969), owned by Volker Dredging Co Ltd, from 24 June 1980 to 14 July 1980.
