Two shore pingoes at Tuktoyaktuk Airstrip, Northwest territories, Canada. A stationary helicopter, with a jeep next to it, is in the middle ground on the airstrip. A view of the tail of a second helicopter is on the right hand side of the image. Shore pingoes (described by the photographer in his autobiography as caused by expanding ice lifting the soil) are in the background.
