The Kawasaki waterfront, taken on board the motor tanker Halcyon Days (1958) berthed at Kawasaki, Japan. The photographer is standing on the starboard side of the midships superstructure looking forward and to starboard and slightly to port. A crane fitted to the starboard ventilator mast is in the foreground. A lifeboat in its davits on the starboard side of the fore superstructure is on the left hand side of the image in the middle ground. The quayside with a large white building and a brown car parked out front is in the middle ground. Two dockyard cranes are behind the white building.
