Danae (1867)

Scale 1:192. Plan shows the sketch of the rig proposal drawing, as altered for a barque, for the Eclipse class sloop Danae (1867). The title of the drawing is "Danae class lengthened 9 feet proposed position of masts if rigged as a barque. Prepared agreeably to Controller's Minute 22nd November 1867 D.S.N.O. 4942". The plan bears the signature of P. Thornton [Master Shipwright at Chatham Dockyard 1864-1872]. The plan is fragile torn into pieces and is in need of conservation.
