A Dutch ship with the wind on the quarter under easy sail
Two drawings on one sheet. In the upper half of the page is a smaller version of the vessel depicted in the lower half – a starboard broadside view of a small ship, with the wind on the port quarter.
The drawing is inscribed in ink across the bottom of the page: ‘groot mars sijl strijckt 1667’ (main topsail struck 1667). It is also signed: ‘W.V.V.J’.
