The photographer is standing on a jetty forward of the vessel looking at its starboard bow A black elevator, possibly for transporting ore onto the vessel is off the port side of the ship on the jetty. A unidentified ship with a white funnel, with a red 5 pointed star and a red and black top is moored on the opposite side of Wilkawa. This is Slide 6 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer on board the motor bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964) owned by Sir William Reardon Smith & Sons Ltd of Cardiff, from 17 May 1970 to 26 November 1970. This series consists of 83 slides.
