A view of six sailors repainting the aft goalpost mast on board the bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964) at sea. The photographer is standing on the port side of the bridge looking forward and slightly to starboard. Three of the sailors are painting the left had goalpost mast, a forth is standing on the top of the mast, a fifth is suspended from the top in the centre whilst a sixth is painting the right hand goalpost mast. This is Slide 23 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer on board the motor bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964) owned by Sir William Reardon Smith & Sons Ltd of Cardiff, from 17 May 1970 to 26 November 1970. This series consists of 83 slides.
