A view of five Indian sailors drawing rope from a winch on board the bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964) at sea. The photographer is standing on the port side near the centre line looking forward and to port. Three of the sailors are looking at the photographer. Two of the sailors are in the left foreground coiling the rope on the deck, whilst the other three sailors are feeding the rope though to the previous. This is Slide 26 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer on board the motor bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964) owned by Sir William Reardon Smith & Sons Ltd of Cardiff, from 17 May 1970 to 26 November 1970. This series consists of 83 slides.
