A view of four Indian sailors repainting a pontoon rack on board the bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964) at sea. The photographer is standing on the port side looking aft. Two of the sailors are standing on a gangway repainting the top of the rack, whilst a third stands underneath the rack on top of a hatch. A forth sailor is painting a separate part of the rack in front of the other three sailors, whilst a fifth sailor stands to the left side of the rack, his hand on a overhead wire. This is Slide 32 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer on board the motor bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964) owned by Sir William Reardon Smith & Sons Ltd of Cardiff, from 17 May 1970 to 26 November 1970. This series consists of 83 slides.
