A view of one of the Indian quartermasters on board the bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964) at sea. The name of the quartermaster (according to the photographer's autobiography) is Moosa Hoosain and is from Mimicoy Atoll, India (locally known as Maniku). Hossain is threading a drawstring though a white sack.

This is Slide 37 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer on board the motor bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964) owned by Sir William Reardon Smith & Sons Ltd of Cardiff, from 17 May 1970 to 26 November 1970. This series consists of 83 slides.
