Cars in the hold of the bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964)

Cars in the hold of the bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964). The photographer is standing on the upper deck of the ship looking down into the hold. The hold is full of Datsun (also known as Nissan) Sunny estate and sedan cars. A deck section has been placed over the far end of the deck, partially obscuring the cars parked there. Two crewmen are in the middle ground standing in spaces not currently occupied by cars. This is Slide 51 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer on board the motor bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964) owned by Sir William Reardon Smith & Sons Ltd of Cardiff, from 17 May 1970 to 26 November 1970. This series consists of 83 slides.
