A white Datsun Sunny estate car being lowered into the hold of the bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964). The photographer is standing on the upper deck of the ship looking down into the hold. 2 crewmen are guiding the vehicle down as it is lowered, whilst another stand off to the right hand side of the vehicle. There is a noted taped to the window of the car, but the text is blurred. White rope litters the floor of the hold. This is Slide 52 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer on board the motor bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964) owned by Sir William Reardon Smith & Sons Ltd of Cardiff, from 17 May 1970 to 26 November 1970. This series consists of 83 slides.
