A view of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge in New York, United States taken from the bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964). The photographer is standing on the poop, looking aft and to port. A partial view of one of the Indian crewman is in the foreground at the bottom of the picture. The ensign staff, flying the Red Ensign, is also in the foreground. Five unidentified vessels are in the middle and background off the stern of Wilkawa. This is Slide 71 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer on board the motor bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964) owned by Sir William Reardon Smith & Sons Ltd of Cardiff, from 17 May 1970 to 26 November 1970. This series consists of 83 slides.
