The photographer is standing on the port side of the bridge looking to starboard and slightly aft. According to the autobiographer's notes. the third officer's name is 'Andy' whilst the apprentice is named 'Alf'. Both men are looking at the photographer. Alf is standing with his hand on the engine room telegraph which is set to full speed ahead. The third officer is seated just aft of the telegraph. Three wooden closets and small consoles are fastened to the wall in the background. This is Slide 4 of a series of slides detailing Captain H.
