A group portrait of three Indian sailors on board the bulk carrier London Explorer [ex Overseas Explorer] (1959) at sea. The photographer is standing on the port side next to the aft goalpost mast looking aft. According to the photographer's notes, one of the sailors is named 'Tindal' but the other two are unidentified. All three sailors are looking at the photographer. A ladder attached to the side of the goalpost mast is in the foreground on the left hand side. A partial view of one of the derricks is in the foreground just behind the sailors. The aft superstructure and funnel are in the background. The funnel has a yellow, white and blue stripe. This is Slide 6 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer on board the bulk carrier London Explorer [ex Overseas Explorer] (1959), owned by London & Overseas Freighters Ltd. from 11 July 1972 to 16 October 1972. The series consists of 39 slides.
