A view of two yellow fork lift trucks under way at a timber wharf, taken from on board the bulk carrier London Explorer [ex Overseas Explorer] (1959) berthed at Sembawang, Singapore. The photographer is standing on the port side of the ship, looking forward and to port. One of the forklifts is under way carrying a pile of timber, whilst the second is empty. There are 9 parked yellow fork lift trucks and a partial view of a car parked behind piles of timber behind the two fork lift trucks. A small building and a tree are in the middle ground just behind the parked fork lift trucks. A yellow backhoe loader and a line of 4 timber lorries are in the near background. A hill with palm and other trees are in the far background. This is Slide 12 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer on board the bulk carrier London Explorer [ex Overseas Explorer] (1959), owned by London & Overseas Freighters Ltd. from 11 July 1972 to 16 October 1972. The series consists of 39 slides.
