Navstar 602D Navigator Operating Instructions

This is an operating manual produced for the Navstar SA 602D (DECCA) Navigator. It is associated with ZBA9310 but is a different model in the series. The two different models relied on competing technologies - Decca and Transit - that operated at the same time in the mid-1980s. Made in 1985 by Navstar Systems, the ‘Navstar 602D’ offered the commercial marine market the first DECCA-compatible unit but at a lower cost than official DECCA machines. Small, simple to operate and economical, the 602D was used by commercial fishermen. The unit displayed the vessel’s position, the time and date, the course-to-make-good to reach the destination and the distance to travel. 100 pages. Paper and spiral bound.
