Sterns of boats and crane. Inscr 'Ancona, the Arch. 5 Nov. 63'
Mounted with PAE5646. Fishing boats on the shore on the north side of the mole at Ancona, on the Adriatic coast of Italy. The annotation 'the Arch' indicates the rough position above on the mole of the Arch of Trajan that is a notable historic feature there, though now enclosed by land reclaimed from the sea as part of the development of the modern port.
