Shops on the west side of the street were named "Vetement", "Boucherie" and "Charcutierre Blaize" respectively. A woman with a pram and small child iis crossing to the east side of the street. 3 cars are driving away from the photographer down the steet. There is a parked motorcycle leaning against a short stone wall in the middle ground. Black metal railings are in the foreground on the left side. This is Slide 25 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as supernumerary Second Officer on board the sand suction dredger Sand Swan (1970) and eventually Chief Officer on the sand suction dredger Sand Skua (1971) owned by the South Coast Shipping Co. Ltd. from 6 May 1973 to 27 June 1973.
