A near beam port side view of the 4 masted barque training ship Arethusa (1911) moored off Upnor on the River Medway. Two moored small craft are moored forward of the bow of Arethusa. Trees are on the opposite bank with Upnor in the background. This is Slide 31 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as supernumerary Second Officer on board the sand suction dredger Sand Swan (1970) and eventually Chief Officer on the sand suction dredger Sand Skua (1971) owned by the South Coast Shipping Co. Ltd. from 6 May 1973 to 27 June 1973.
