A view of the Mombasa Tusks on Moi Avenue (originally called Kilindini Road) in Mombasa, Kenya. The photographer is standing on the west side of the street looking east towards the tusks. A partial view of Uhuru Garden is in the middle grond on the right hand side of the image. Male and female Africans are walking on the western side of the street and crossing the road in front of the tusks. Cars are parked on both side of the street. Shopfronts and buildings extned from the foreground into the background on the western side of the street This is Slide 25 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer for the steam turbine tanker Bidford Priory (1960) owned by Warwick Tanker Co. Ltd from 2 April 1974 to 16 July 1974. This series consists of 27 slides.
