The photographer is standing in front on the right hand side of the conveoy looking towards the crewman. The three crewman are standing on the left side of the conveyor holding the repaeter in the middle ground. A forth crewman looking away from the photographer is in the background, but is barely visible due to the low light level. This is Slide 17 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Watchkeeping Officer for the cable ship John W. Mackay (1922) owned by Commercial Cable Company of London from 16 December 1974 to 21 March 1975. This series consists of 45 slides.
