A view of an unidentified convent church in Kalamata, Greece. The photographer is standing on the wsestern side of a street looking towards the church. Part of the church is obscured by a tall white wall which is partly covered in green weeds. There is an open black metal gate entrance to the church in the middle ground. This is Slide 17 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Watchkeeping Officer for the cable ship John W. Mackay (1922) owned by Commercial Cable Company of London from 1 June 1975 to 6 July 1975. This series consists of 25 slides.
