A view of the waterfront taken from the Singapore River in Singapore. The photographer is standing on a bridge looking south south west towards the waterfront along the river. There is numerous small craft and powered barges moored and underway on the river in the foreground. There are parked cars, people and small buildings laong the riverfront. The Ascot Raffles Place (formerly known as the Asia Insurance Building) is the second building on the far left side of the image. The Hong Leong Building skyscraper is just to the left of the centre of the image. The Overseas Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC) building is the tallest skyscraper on the right hand side of the image. The former CPF (Central Provident Fund Board) Building is in the background to the right of the OCBC Building. This is Slide 11 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer for the motor coaster Sea Rhine (1978) owned by Freight Express Seacon of London from 25 February 1978 to 19 April 1978. This series consists of 18 slides.
