A view of a sand dredger owned by the Penta-Ocean Construction Co. Ltd underway in the Suez Canal. The photographer is on board the container ship Nelloyd Maretania (1977). A discharge pipe is at the stern of the dredger and extends across to the left hand side of the image on the canal surface. This is Slide 32 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer for the container ship Nedlloyd Maretania (1977) owned by H. Janssen of Bad Zwischenahn, Germany and chartered by the Royal Nedlloyd Group shipping company of Rotterdam from 9 June 1978 to 26 July 1978. This series consists of 53 slides.
