A starboard bow view of the weather observation vessel Skagerak (1935) moored alongside the cargo ship Alinda (1957) on arrival in Piraeus, Greece. Alinda is moored off the port side of Skagerak. On the left is partially sunken barge. Two crewman are on Skagerak just aft of the bridge and another two men are on the main deck on the starboard side. The Greek national flag is flying from the halyard attached to the starboard side of the yard on the foremast. The Greek national flag is also flying from a ensign staff at the stern of Alinda. This is Slide 1 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Master for the weather observation ship Skagerak (1935) owned by John Goulandris of Piraeus, Greece from 29 May 1981 to 14 June 1981. This series consists of 9 slides.
