On board the ketch barge Martinet (1912) alongside the pier at Margate, Kent. It is low tide and the ship is almost dried out. She is discharging coal using the quayside Priestman grab crane. The photographer is standing on the port side of the deck abreast the main hatch looking forward and showing a brail winch, open fore hatch, forecastle, windlass and bowsprit. Very slight image movement.
