On board the spritsail rigged coasting barge Her Majesty (1897) bound down in the Thames estuary. She has a substantial cargo of wooden cases and barrels stacked on her hatch covers and decks. The photographer is looking forward from abaft the main hatch showing the deck boy sitting on the cases with a plate of food in his hand. The bowsprit is topped and the barge is sailing under a foresail and the mainsail. Vertical format. Negatives numbers P75151, P75152, P75203 to P75208, P75293 and P75309 were taken on the same vessel.
