A slightly distant port side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of two spritsail barges alongside a wharf on the River Medway near Allington, Kent. The nearest barge is the Irex (1903), registered at Rochester and she has L.R.T. Co. No. 1112 carved into her transom bulwarks. Her crew are heaving up her mast and she is in ballast. Ahead of her is the barge Valkyrie (1896) which is also in ballast.
