Two Mousehole crabbers are seen off Mousehole harbour with the rocks of St. Clement's Isle behind them. One is under sail with two crew, rigged with a dipping lug foresail and leg-of-mutton mizzen; another similar boat astern of the first with two crew aboard is not at anchor but nor is it under sail. The PZ registration numbers of neither boat are legible from the negative. In the distance to the right are a variety of small boats and one apparent sloop-rigged boat with a clipper bow, at anchor.
