Laid up crabbers

Two Sennen crabbers are seen from the starboard stern quarter, hauled up at Sennen Cove. The nearest, clinker-built with considerable draft for its length of approx. 16ft, has a hole on the starboard side of its transom, offset to starboard, through which the bumkin, to which the boat's mizzen sheet is run, would fit. Three sets of gaps or rowlocks in the gunwale would pivot sweeps when the boat is rowed. Next to and behind this boat is a larger, deeper-draught crabber, and beyond both, part of a punt is visible. A crab pot lies astern of the nearest crabber.
