Sennen seine boat at St Mary's, Scilly
A carvel-built double-ended boat aground in St Mary's harbour is described by H. O. Hill in his notebook as a Sennen Cove seine boat. However, the diminutive figure seen behind it on the harbour wall suggests larger dimensions for the boat than those of a Sennen seine boat, and it lacks evident pivots for oars or sweeps on the gunwale. The boat is heeled to port and on deck is a planked wooden structure which might serve to contain cargo above deck level.
