Whitstable oyster vessels laid up
The Faversham oyster boat Honey Bee is shown from above the port stern quarter laid up aground in Whitstable harbour in front of the corrugated iron wall of a harbour building, with its rudder, sails and running rigging removed and bowsprit retracted. To the right of its name on the transom is written its home port of Faversham. An iron bar is set horizontally on the mast above the shrouds in the manner of cross-trees, but with no rigging attached to it.
