Hythe, Kent fishing vessels
The Hythe fishing boat Gratitude (regd FE46) is seen here aground, close up at the port bow quarter. A wooden ladder rests against the gunwale amidships, between the trawl boards of the boat's nets. The lands of the clinker planking are reinforced with additional wooden planks for a section some 3-4ft long on the port bow quarter, below where the forward trawl board rests on the gunwale.
