The Hastings lugger Dick and Jack (regd RX115) is viewed here in close-up from the port bow quarter, alongside another similar lugger whose RX registration number is obscured. Both are aground on shingle, RX115 being supported by timber baulks placed alongside the keel amidships. The clinker-built RX115 has a bowsprit, and both this boat and the lugger alongside it have nets hauled up the foremast to dry. The full-bellied hull shape of the Dick and Jack is accentuated by the boat's clinker construction.
