Eastbourne lugger

The eliptical lute-sterned, clinker-built Eastbourne lugger Star of the East is viewed from the starboard stern quarter, beached and supported by timber baulks. The mizzen mast is circumvented by the type's characteristic curved iron or steel rod tiller. The boat has a single propeller shaft piercing its sternpost.
