Southwold
Three clinker-built, lug-rigged Suffolk beach yawls are shown hauled up on Southwold's beach, the registration numbers of two being distinct on their hulls: LT796 and LT792. The number of a third boat is invisible. The boats have loose-footed standing lug mizzens hoisted, their dipping lug foresails being lowered. Although long and slender in shape, these yawls are shorter than some of their type, which could range upwards of 45ft.
