Oban skiff
A clinker-built, double-ended Oban skiff, some 19ft in length, is viewed from the port stern quarter, with three crew members forward and the helmsman bent forward inspecting something on board; although the boat is under sail, the tiller has been left temporarily to its own devices, the wind being very light. The boat's planks are notably wide. The mainsail is a high-peaked balanced lugsail with boom. A small jib is hoisted from a bowsprit projecting some 4ft from the stem.
