Scaffie BCK252 Gratitude at Portknockie
The scaffie hauled out in the foreground, the Gratitude, regd BCK 252, is one of six sailing fishing boats in this photograph, which also features two rowing boats in the background. The Gratitude, clinker-built, double-ended and with a curved stem, is longer and deeper-keeled than the Willing Boys and two other scaffies alongside, and appears to have unshipped its rudder. The fourth boat from the camera, possibly named Consolation and registered at Banff or Buckie, is another scaffie.
