Tenby luggers

The clinker-built Tenby lugger Seahorse, regd M170, is photographed aground in harbour with a motor launch to starboard. In this view from above the Seahorse's starboard stern quarter, the foredeck is shown with the bracket of the mainmast step, which like the mizzen, is not rigged. In the bulkhead at the rear of the foredeck is a sliding door, of a size more suitable for the storage of e.g. sails and ropes than for providing access to shelter for crew. Astern of the foredeck are three thwarts. In the transom is a square hole to starboard of the centre line, which would house the boat's bumkin. Beyond the Seahorse, three small boats are stored upside down on the slipway - two clinker-built dinghies and one flat-bottomed boat.
