Selsey half-decked fishing boat LI6 Molly

The carvel-built auxiliary Selsey fishing boat Molly, regd L16, apparently some 20ft LOD, is seen from abeam on the starboard side supported on legs aground on shingle at Selsey. The view lends prominence to the depth of the Molly's keel and its cutaway bow section. A number of crab pots lie beside the boat, the condition of whose paintwork and gunwale suggests it was not in commission when the photograph was taken. The rudder is unshipped (as would be normal for beach launches and recovery) and the only elements of rig visible are the bowsprit's stemhead housing, the bitts housing its inboard end, and a shroud plate.
