Selsey beach boats
A clinker-built Selsey fishing boat regd LI42 is seen here bow-on, hauled up on shingle and heeled to port. A mooring rope extends towards the camera from the starboard side of a short bowsprit, which appears to be rigged with a rope bobstay passed through a hole mid-way down the stem. To the fore are wooden rollers on the shingle to ease the boat's passage over the beach during launch and recovery. In the foreground to the right is a crab pot.
