Portsmouth fishing vessels
Four gaff-rigged, carvel-built open inshore fishing boats are photographed from astern, moored in Portsmouth Harbour before the jetty and two cranes of the Fraser & White coal depot. The boat on the right of the image is apparently larger than the three shown in the centre, and bears the registration P50. A type of barge with semi-circular fenders mounted on its topsides is part-visible on the left of the image, but with insufficient detail to be identified further.
