Selsey crabber hauled up
The transom of the clinker-built Selsey crabber Bunty of Littlehampton, regd LI135, is seen close to, hauled up on the shingle at the top of Selsey beach with buildings in the background. The boat's registration number, derived from LI187 according to Negatives index P.70000-P.79999, is not visible but the owner's name, Thomas Sparshott, is. To the left is another crabber whose registration number LI6 is painted on its port bow. The Bunty's relatively deep keel and deadrise aft is emphasised by the composition of the image. Either side of the Bunty's keel crab pots lie on the shingle.
