Negative
The foredeck of the gaff cutter-rigged oyster dredger Ostrea (1890) in J.D. Foster's yard, according to Negatives index P.70000-P.79999, is seen from before the mast, with a wooden winch drum spanning the foredeck behind the bitts and beneath the inboard end of what may be the boat's bowsprit, which has been withdrawn inboard. (Although equipment at the stemhead appears possibly to obstruct the movement of the bowsprit outboard to the starboard side of the stem.) A fisherman's anchor hangs over the port gunwale. To the right of the Ostrea's mooring is a spit of sand and marram grass enclosing marsh, with several cottages on the shore.
