Falmouth Harbour, Plymouth barge Gwendoline c.'31
In the foreground, seen from a distance of some 100ft aft of its port stern quarter is the gaff cutter-rigged, carvel-built Plymouth barge Gwendoline, moored in Falmouth harbour. Main and mizzen sails are laced to their spars. The Gwendoline appears to be unladen. Among other vessels in the background are the hulks of the Cutty Sark and of HMS Implacable.
