Mevagissey harbour, 1920s
In the foreground are the fore parts of two Falmouth-registered luggers of about 35ft seen from the port side, moored in Mevagissey harbour, with steeply-rising buildings above the quay on the opposite, inland harbourside. Fishermen are working on the decks of both luggers, while on the quayside, men are apparently gutting fish already landed. The nearest lugger is registered FY26 and bears the name Rosalind. The name and registration number of the boat behind are obscured.
