Poole harbour
On the left of this negative stand the 18th century porticoed harbour office and the Customs House, and against the quayside to the right, several square-rigged vessels. The nearest of these, according to the negative envelope's author, is the Dewdrop (1874) of Goole. Three men are seated at the foot of a timber hoist apparently installed for the loading and unloading of ships' freight.
